The production of premium machinery requires systematic and comprehensive quality management. To achieve this, Fendt relies on qualified employees in the "Core Quality" and "Occupational Safety" departments, on the one hand, and in certification tests by TÜV SÜD for quality management and health and safety in the work, on the other hand.

Quality management, work processes and occupational health and safety measures have been certified this year in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety for the two plants of Fendt in Germany at Hohenmölsen and Wolfenbüttel. This involves the introduction of the same standards and methods at both plants, as well as an annual audit by TÜV SÜD.

Quality management at Fendt's main plant in Marktoberdorf has been ISO 9001 certified since 1995, two years later, the European Center of Competence for Cabs in Asbach-Bäumenheim was also recognized under this standard. The constant improvement of work processes and quality standards is a continuous process.

"We have been working with TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH for many years. TÜV certification enables us to create a uniform system for quality management and occupational safety across all production sites," says Michael Nothhaas, Fendt Central Quality Manager . "A basic prerequisite for the successful development of the standards here is intensive cooperation between fellow factory specialists. The implementation of the measures must be tailored to different products and the size of the individual plant," explains Michael Nothhaas, Director of Core quality from Fendt.

"Quality is about the customer coming back, not the product itself" Dr. Oliver Cerza, Head of Sales, Operations and Customer Service Southeast Region of TÜV SÜD Management Service quotes Hermann Tietz. "Fendt boasts this motto with all its employees every day," continues Dr. Oliver Cerza.

Fendt facilities in Hohenmölsen and Wolfenbüttel

The AGCO / Fendt facilities in Hohenmölsen consist of two plants. On the one hand, agricultural machinery such as the Fendt Katana forage harvester, the Fendt Rogator 300 trailed sprayer and the Fendt Rogator 600 self-propelled sprayer are assembled. On the other hand, the Hohenmölsen plant is an in-house supplier for Fendt tractors, as here numerous components are produced for these machines.

The Wolfenbüttel production site has been a part of AGCO / Fendt since 2017. Fendt Rotana round balers manufactured here travel the world to New Zealand.

"I am very satisfied with the certification for our production plants in Hohenmölsen and Wolfenbüttel. As a full-line manufacturer, it is important to continuously verify and develop quality management, as well as occupational and production safety measures in all plants. An external audit helps us to continually develop our own processes and methods to better meet the needs of our customers, "says Christoph Gröblinghoff, Chairman of the Board of Management of AGCO / Fendt.
